Skipping Rope Class and Competition

Posted on Tuesday 26th November 2019

Jumping for fitness and competition engages Po Leung Kuk's residential children with a fun challenge.

Since 2012, Po Leung Kuk has been running a skipping rope class for their residential children. This extracurricular activity is supported by our Children’s All Rounded Development Programme (CARDP) and 20 plus children have joined the activity annually.  During the 2018/19 school term, 10 children from the skipping rope class were selected to join the Hong Kong Rope Skipping Union (HKRSU) joint-school competition. 30 primary and secondary schools were involved and over 200 students participated. The children from Po Leung Kuk won a total of 10 awards in various contest categories. It was amazing and encouraging to see such dedication and skill-level from them. The next competition will be in December and the children are already gearing themselves up for another challenge.
