Learning about mindful living and how matcha tea served in a one-of-a-kind handmade bowl is a priceless experience.
On the 5th of June, Jasmine Liu, HYGGEWellbeing founder, and Terence Lee, founder of GITONE, co-hosted a wonderful event combining ceramic and matcha tea. Terence has been performing art for more than 30 years and founded the Hong Kong Contemporary Ceramics Association in 1992, GITONE in 1995 and Lillium in 2019 to promote art and culture. Jasmine created HYGGEWellbeing after her trip to Bhutan, while she realised how wellbeing is essential to our life. While still working in the executive industry, she decided to create HYGGEWellbeing to promote the importance of wellbeing and inspire people to eat simple and healthy as well as to live mindfully. Angels For Children was invited to present the charity to the participants and raise awareness for the work we are doing for underprivileged children in Asia.
Terence demonstrated his skills and knowledge with a very captivating demonstration of the art of ceramic. Participants were then invited to create their own tea bowl. In the second part of the afternoon, Jasmine performed and taught us how to prepare our own ceremonial grade matcha. Participants were then invited to prepare their own matcha, and enjoy the amazing taste of Jasmine's ceremony grade matcha. A very special thank you to Jasmine for inviting Angels For Children to this wonderful event and sharing some part of the profit of HYGGEWellbeing sales to our charity. The money raised will help for various programs in Cambodia, Bali and Hong Kong.
