In 2013, Angels For Children wanted to find a way to bring a little holiday joy to the children they were fundraising for in Hong Kong. They proposed the idea of a "secret santa" to Po Leung Kuk where children under their care could make a Christmas wish list and Angels For Children would fulfill it. That following holiday season, Angels For Children volunteers turned into elves and sought the help of donors to do just that. And with Santa Claus himself present, Christmas wishes (in the form of wrapped gifts) were delivered and handed out to the surprise and delight of Po Leung Kuk's residential children in Causeway Bay.
The Angels For Children Secret Santa has since evolved to also support the needs of Society for Community Organization (SoCO) families living under the poverty line. Through SoCO's programs, the annual gift drive now helps provide necessities like school shoes, books, and sports equipment.
